Disney Kingdoms is a line of comics published by Marvel Comics starting in 2014. The focus of the line was to tell new stories, expanding upon lands, attractions, characters, and the worlds of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts that exist or almost came to be.

The editors have expressed a goal of creating a cohesive "Disney Earth" composed of these attraction stories with connections becoming more apparent as the imprint goes on.

Disney Kingdoms comic titles[]

Seekers of the Weird #1-5Written by Brandon Seifert and based on the unused attraction concept for the Museum of the Weird. The story focuses on Maxwell & Melody Keep trying to save their parents from an evil society who seek the Coffin Clock.

Figment #1-5On March 6, 2014, the day after the original Journey into Imagination attraction's anniversary, Marvel and Disney released a teaser for the next title in the Kingdoms line, the word Spark and a large 1 behind it. The first cover-art was unveiled on the 11th. This title, based around the origin of Figment and Dreamfinder, was written by Jim Zub. The first issue was released June 2014.

Opening in Edwardian London, Dreamfinder, then known as Blarion Mercurial, is a young scientist researching ways to create energy from the power of the mind. These studies result in the creation of Figment and a portal into the realms of imagination. While the two explore the realm to find a way back home, one of Dreamfinder's professors ends up opening a portal that unleashes a malevolent robot called The Singular that seeks to rule over London. Blair, Figment, and their new friends must return to save the city.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad #1-5The third Kingdoms series, was revealed on December 1 to be based of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad attractions at Disney parks around the world, though pulling from the Disneyland and Magic Kingdom versions in particular.

Written by Dennis Hopeless and pencilled by Tigh Walker, the five-issue limited series stars Abigail Bullion, the teenaged daughter of the owner of the Big Thunder Mining Company. Abigail is caught in a dangerous situation when she moves to Big Thunder after the death of her mother, where she becomes embroiled in her father's business.

Figment 2 #1-5Figment 2 picks up where the first miniseries left off. Dreamfinder and Figment arrive in present-day Florida at the Academy's new Florida campus, where they confront technology they do not understand and face the legacy they left behind.

The Haunted Mansion #1-5The fourth Kingdoms series is based on The Haunted Mansion ride. It was announced on December 4, 2015 and was written by Joshua Williamson with art by Jorge Coelho. It tells the story of a fearful young man named Danny being drawn into the Haunted Mansion by Madame Leota to help free it from a curse placed on its residents by a vengeful pirate ghost.
