Dennis William Quaid is an American actor known for his comedic and dramatic roles. First gaining widespread attention in the 1980s, his career rebounded in the 1990s after he overcame an addiction to drugs and an eating disorder.
For Disney, he portrayed Nick Parker in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap and Jim Morris in The Rookie. He also guest-starred on Muppets Tonight in Episode 207. Additionally, he played Dexter Cornell in the 1988 Touchstone Pictures film, D.O.A., Cooper Tilson in the 2003 film, Cold Creek Manor, and Sam Houston in the 2004 film, The Alamo and Mike Heck on the ABC sitcom The Middle.
He is also the younger brother of Randy Quaid.
