David Lawrence Schwimmer is an American actor, comedian, producer, and director, well known for his distinctive nasally voice. He is best known for playing Ross Geller in the NBC sitcom Friends from 1994-2004 and voicing Melman the giraffe in the DreamWorks' Madagascar franchise.
For Disney, he played John Anderson in the 1992 Touchstone Pictures film, Crossing the Bridge and Frank Martin in the 1998 adventure film, Six Days Seven Nights. He also portrayed the young Thark Warrior in the 2012 film, John Carter.
