David Hobbscap (Jacques Villeneuve in the French and Quebecois versions) is a British commentator. He commentates on the World Grand Prix with Brent Mustangburger and Darrell Cartrip.

Cars 2[]
In Cars 2, David commentates the World Grand Prix with Brent Mustangburger and Darrell Cartrip. Throughout the event he, Brent and Darrell are surprised at the blowouts that happen during the Tokyo race and Porto Corsa race along with the crash. He also comments on Mater's appearance in the London race stating that an emergency vehicle would be on the track if there was an accident.

- David is based on the real life former British racing driver David Hobbs, who currently works as a commentator for Speed Channel.
- In both French dubs of Cars 2 (European and French-Canadian) David is voiced by (and renamed after) retired Formula One racer Jacques Villeneuve named Jacques Villeneuve, and says he is from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
- In the Danish version he is named Jens Vinterdæk after journalist Jens Winther Junior who was performing him.
- During the development of Cars 2, David was called Jaggy. A play-on the name Jaguar.
- David's most common die-cast release in the 1:55 scale line is him with a headset however, there is a variant of him without it but it is very rare as it was exclusively released in a Target 7-pack and hasn't been re-released since.
