D|XP was aprogramming block on Disney XD that is dedicated to the world of gaming. D|XP will showcase games, publishers, event, and prominent personalities across the gaming landscape including both entertainment gaming and esports.
History[]
D|XP debuted on Saturday, July 15 and runs from 9:00PM to 3:00AM. It is a television and multiplatform destination that features content produced in collaboration with ESPN, Disney Digital Network and its Maker creators, IGN, Attack Media, Warner Bros. Television Group's Blue Ribbon Content, Banger Films, Electronic Sports League and VICE's Waypoint. The intent of programming block is to connect with gaming enthusiasts of all ages.
On July 16th, D|XP broadcasted the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Street Fighter V EVO tournaments (the latter of which also aired on ESPN2) live. D|XP's final live broadcast was the 2017 Nintendo World Championships in October. In November 2017, the block temporarily ended.
The return of D|XP was announced on June 7th, 2018, however, D|XP would only broadcast live events and not run as a nighttime programming block on Disney XD. The block was permanently discontinued on September 15, 2019 with an Overwatch League live event.
