Cindy Cabbitson is a new main character in the Disney XD series Zoey McMullen and a regular main cast member in its Disney+ revival, Zoey McMullen: You Go, Girl!. She debuted in the Season 2 episode "The New Friend". She is voiced by Janice Kawaye.
Appearance[]
Cindy Cabbitson is a tall and slender cabbit (half-cat, half-rabbit) who has orange fur, a sharp, pointed tail resembling that of Tom or Sylvester's, beige hands/paws, belly, feet, tail tip and ear innards, as well as a red nose, yellow eyes, eyelashes to match her gender, two small fangs on her mouth and a yellow sweater with a smiley face on it that copies her every expression.
In Zoey McMullen: You Go, Girl!, she now wears a dark blue sleeveless dress.
Background[]
She is first seen when she is being confronted by a weasel crook that is trying to rob her, nervously crying for help. Just then, Zoey heard the cabbit's yells for help and then stood up to the weasel crook. The crook, however, just laughed at the sight of a little girl trying to stop him, believing that Zoey is too weak and puny to actually fight him. However, he was wrong; Zoey attacked him by biting his tail, stomping on his foot, amongst other attacks.
Finally the crook surrendered and ran away, while Zoey befriended Cindy and made her into her new friend. Ever since that day, Cindy would be hanging out with Zoey, Conrad, Melissa and Jackie.
Before she met Zoey and the gang, she was overweight and lived in Swing City. At that time, she sang popular country songs, especially ones where she could use her deep voice. She was then convinced by the owner of the entertainment nightclub, The Swing Shack, to sing those songs at his club; in which she became interested to do.
On her first night, her singing talent definitely brought the patrons' attention. After her performance, she was given the name "The Hep Cabbit" by her boss Mr. Antlerton. When her fame rose, she was enjoying her singing career at the time. However, she could not stand her fans constantly asking for autographs and selfies. A few months later, she had decided to give up her career and live a new life.
Trivia[]
- The smiley face on her sweater copying her every expression might be a reference to Wade from Jim Davis' comic strip U.S. Acres, who wears an innertube with the head of a duck on it that mirrors his facial expressions.
