John Christian "Chris" Wedge is an American film director, film producer, screenwriter, cartoonist, actor, and voice actor, who is best known for his work founding the company Blue Sky Studios (along with Carlos Saldanha) and directed Ice Age (in which he voiced Scrat in the same franchise), Robots, Epic, and executive produced Horton Hears a Who, Rio, and Ferdinand. He also directed the 2017 Paramount Pictures film, Monster Trucks.
For Disney, Wedge worked as a principle animator for the 1982 live-action science fiction hybrid film, TRON. He also was the executive-producer for the 2019 Blue Sky Studios film, Spies in Disguise, which was the first and only Blue Sky Studios film to be released by Disney.
