Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC is a Canadian-American actress, writer, and comedian. She landed her first significant television role in 1975 starring opposite John Candy and Dan Aykroyd in the main cast of the Canadian sitcom Coming Up Rosie and Kate McCallister in the Home Alone films. She also voiced Penny the porcupine in DreamWorks' Over the Hedge.
For Disney, she portrayed Texie Garcia in the 1990 Disney/Touchstone film, Dick Tracy, April Simon in A Simple Twist of Fate, Gloria Henner in Betsy's Wedding and Calamity Jane in Tall Tale, voiced Sally Finklestein and Shock in the 1993 Disney stop motion musical fantasy film, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Tina in the 2005 Disney animated feature film, Chicken Little, Kata in the 2006 Disney direct-to-DVD film, Brother Bear 2, and Susan Frankenstein, Weird Girl, and the Gym Teacher in the Tim Burton's 2012 animated feature film, Frankenweenie, Morgana in Sofia the First, and will narrate the 2020 Circle-Vision 360° film, Canada: Far and Wide for Epcot's Canada Pavilion.
