Phillip Bradley "Brad" Bird is an American director, screenwriter, animator, producer, and occasional voice actor, who is best known for directing and writing the 1999 sci-fi animated film, The Iron Giant , as well as working as an executive consultant on the popular Fox animated sitcom The Simpsons from 1989 to 1998 .
For Disney , he directed Pixar 's The Incredibles (2004 ), its 2018 sequel , and Ratatouille (2007 ). He also voiced Edna Mode in The Incredibles and Incredibles 2 and the Ambrister Minion in Ratatouille . Additionally, he directed the 2015 sci-fi film, Tomorrowland .
He is also the father of actors Michael and Nicholas Bird.
