Big Hero 6 2 (also referred to as Big Hero 6 2: Fire Vs. Ice, Big Hero 6: Fire Vs. Ice, Big Hero 6 2: The Rise of Sunfire or Big Hero 6: The Rise of Sunfire) is a 2031 American computer-animated comedy-superhero film created and produced at Walt Disney Animation Studios and based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name by Man of Action. The sequel to the 2014 film Big Hero 6 and the film is directed by Don Hall (co-director of Winnie the Pooh) and Chris Williams (co-director of Bolt).
It is the 70th film in the Disney Animated Canon and the sixth film in the Disney Revival era.
The film will be released on November 26, 2031 in the USA, England, Hawaii and India by Disney.
An animated television series following the events of the second film is set premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ in June 18, 2032. A spinoff series, titled Miko!, is set to premiere on Disney Channel in TBA. A children series, Big Hero 6: A Little San Fransokyo is set to premiere on Disney Junior in TBA. An anime television series, titled Big Hero 6: Heroes Of San Fransokyo is set to premiere on TV Asahi and Disney Channel on Japan and USA in TBA. A computer animated series, title Big Hero 6: A New Generation is set to premiere on Disney+ in TBA.
The film was theatrically accompanied by the short film Being Small: A Story by Abby Howard.
Premise[]
After the events of the first film and the TV series, Hiro and the team finds out Tadashi is alive and they are joined by Hiro & Tadashi's long-lost old sister and brother, Miko and Kyle a female black inflatable robot, Girlmax and Miko's friends and they joined the team. When a ice-powered supervillain named Gunsmith threatens to turn San Fransokyo into ice. The Big Hero 6 are off to save the day to stop Gunsmith from turning the city into ice.

The site's consensus states: "Agreeably entertaining and brilliantly animated, Big Hero 6 2 is briskly-paced, action-packed, and often touching." Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 from top reviews from mainstream critics, calculated a score of TBA based on 35 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews."
In 2032, Big Hero 6 2 won its nomination for Best Animated Feature Film of 2031 at the Academy Awards.

The cast expressed interest in returning for a third sequel, and presented different ideas of what it would be about, among which was the joking suggestion they frequently made of giving Fred a spin-off series. Hall expressed interest in doing a third sequel that would be similar to The Parent Trap, which would center upon Baymax and Hiro attempt to reunite Cass. Shortly after the film's release, Disney+ sent a survey to subscribers asking about their opinion of the movie and asked "how likely would each household member [want] to watch another movie involving the characters and world of Big Hero 6 third sequel if it became available," implying that the studio is considering producing a third sequel at some point.
