Beaver Towers is a 2027 American 3D computer-animation fantasy action-adventure film based on the children's fantasy novel of the same name by British author Nigel Hinton. It was produced by Reloaxa's production company Thirty-8 Animations and released as their debut film by Walt Disney Pictures.

Film Summary[]

A magic spell whisks Philip away on his new kite to a far-off island where he meets the beavers - Mr Edgar and his grandson, Baby B. They tell him of the terrible danger that threatens them. The wicked witch Oyin has imprisoned most of the island's inhabitants in Beaver Towers, and when her powers are complete she will put them to death and rule the island. Philip has to get her spell book in order to save them.

Beaver Towers received widespread acclaim for its animation, voice performances and staying true to the book. The review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes reports that 96% of critics gave the film a positive review based on 231 reviews, with an average score of 7.9/10. The site's consensus states: "One of the few animated book adaptations that doesn't take away the magic and it adds more to make Beaver Towers a thrilling adventure for everyone." Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 from top reviews from mainstream critics, calculated a score of 82 based on 52 reviews, indicating "Universal acclaim." In CinemaScore polls, cinema audiences gave Beaver Towers an average score of "A" on an A+ to F scale.
