Asiatic Dragons are minor antagonists in the Life and Adventures of Santa Claus.
Background[]
These dragons are not friendly by any means, for they hate mankind and all good spirits. They breathe a fiery breath that destroys anything, even the dragons themselves are not immune to their own fire. These creatures are joining the Awgwas in battle against good and evil. The Fairies, with their magic wands, know just what to do, so the dragons don't stand a chance against them.
The dragons are red with snake-like bodies, red eyes, wings, yellow stomachs, green horns and scales, sharp teeth, gray claws, and orange mustaches.
Appearance[]
In the movie, three hundred Dragons join the Awgwas in battle against the Immortals who are fighting for their friend, Claus. However, the Immortals have more power than any of the evil creatures.
During the battle, the Dragons breathe fire at the Fairies, but miss. The Fairies use their magic wands to blow the fire back onto the dragons, which causes them to shrivel up and die. The Dragons are not seen again for the rest of the film.
Video Game[]
The Dragons appear in the video game as enemies. Since they joined the Awgwas, they'll stop at nothing to keep Santa from accomplishing his goal. They can only be defeated by Wisk.
Trivia[]
- There was only one dragon in the Rankin/Bass TV special and it was defeated by Necile since the Fairies did not appear. There also only one dragon in the Universal movie and it was defeated by the Knooks when they catapulted snow at it, turning the dragon into a flock of birds. In the Disney film, there will be three hundred dragons and they will be defeated by the Fairies just like in the book.
- The Asiatic Dragons bear a great resemblance to Mushu and the dragon form of Jake Long.
