ABC Studios was a former American television production company served as a division of the Disney Television Studios. It was founded in 1985 as Touchstone Television , but was rebranded in 2007 to its current name. It currently produces shows like Grey's Anatomy . Prior to 2007, the company produced shows for various networks including CBS , NBC , and The WB, upon its re-branding it became the main source for ABC's programming. Though the company still co-produces Criminal Minds and Code Black with CBS, it also co-produced Grandfathered with Fox.
On August 10, 2020, Disney announced the television company would be renamed to ABC Signature .[1]
